KIM KANE
Game Developer and IT Engineer with a sprinkle of QA Testing

WHO AM I?
I am a passionate Games Developer, specializing in engine and tools development, with a keen interest and passion for IT, QA and Computer Science. Originally from Glasgow, but now residing in the sunny East Midlands.
My passion for games began when I was seven years old. I still remember the day I got my first PlayStation and my first two games, GTA and Tomb Raider. I wanted to be Lara Croft, and I wanted to climb the roof access ladders in GTA just to see if I could jump to the other buildings (I tried to do this A LOT, but sadly died every time)!
I was mesmerized by the way games were put together. I wanted to know how this little pixel on my screen could create such realism. I wanted to figure out what it was about games that made me want to keep playing and not go downstairs for dinner. I wanted to know every little piece of the puzzle needed to create a game... and now here I am!
I have always been a natural problem-solver and I enjoy finding the best solutions possible to any issue that arises. Currently a QA Tester within the games industry, providing exceptional attention to detail to identify, log and resolve bugs and errors within software and hardware. I find innovative ways to avoid similar issues from arising in the future and work closely with my team to reach our common goals.
Needless to say, I am a massive geek and love everything to do with games, troubleshooting, finding and solving bugs and everything in-between!
